When I worked a****Z in Alpena, Marilyn Quayle, Vice President Dan Quayle's wife came to town on campaign trail and I was in News and went to do a one on one interview with her at Alpena High School. I also had to go through Secret Service and be checked out by some really cute men in black suits and shades.
2. If you could see any musician/band/group/singer in concert, be front row center, and go back stage, who would that be?

I grew up around the Wizard of Oz. I use to watch it over and over and over. Sitting outside my elementary school in Rochester in spring drawing a plumb tree in the courtyard with my teacher in 4th grade and realizing I didn't have to go home and sit with my asshole mother for the rest of the afternoon. I could just stay there and then do my paper route and by then my dad would be home.

1. Name 1 thing that you have done in your life -that is NOT related to weight loss - that you hold high in regard to achievement or success in your life.
Married a great man and gave birth to three wonderful children!
2. If you could see any musician/band/group/singer in concert, be front row center, and go back stage, who would that be?
There are many, but I'd have to say Mary Chapin Carpenter. She's just the very best songwriter and I'd love to talk to her!
(My husband and I saw his very favorite band in the world this summer....they were big in the early 90's..."**** Robin" with Peter Kingsbury as lead singer. You might remember the hit, "When Your Heart Is Weak". Well, the concert was in a quaint club in San Juan Capistrano, CA, and we were in the very front, at tables, had a nice dinner, and they came down and actually talked with us for a long time, we were invited backstage afterward, now they email, etc., keeping us abreast of their tour in France. My husband has just been beside himself ever since! He said it was one thing he wanted to do before he died, (not that he's dying or anything) and to have acheived it, wow, what an incredible thing. Check them out on their myspace account. They are fantastic. (Hubby had watery eyes through the whole thing, he was so moved!)
3. Do you have a favorite childhood story, song or memory that still brings goosebumps when you think of it?
Just going to the quarry in the pasture to swim with my brothers and sisters....the smells, sounds, laughter, rope swing....it was a great time in my life. Even now when I smell that smell, it takes me right back to those days.
4. Ballet, Theater, Opera, Symphony? Which is your favorite and what have you seen/been to in the past 5 years.
Theater is my favorite...We've seen Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Miserable, smaller ones at the theatre in Chelsea MI, which was really cool. The actor Jeff Daniels owns it and has great talent there.
5. What type of laundry detergent and fabric softener do you use? Do you use dryer sheets? Which kind? And on average, how many loads of laundry do you do a week?
I love Tide, but it's just too expensive these days, so I usually buy Dynamo right now, and I use Purex fabric softener. Yes I use dryer sheets too....usually whatever's on sale.
I do laundry on the weekend, usually 3-4 loads.

In grade school my class went to see Oliver Twist and a Friend's Mom took me to see Annie ... they both had a huge impact on me.
