TT/muscle tightening with Priority Health and BCBS

I have Priority Health Primary and BCBS secondary... with regard to the TT and such. I don't have a whole lot of excess skin, no rashes or anything, but none the less, I do have some excess skin. Does anyone know how Priority works with this? For PH/BCBS, do you have to have proof of rashes and such? Also, with the muscle tightening, my stomach muscles are all crap from having monstrous babies (10 lbs +) and they have that split down the middle. When I lay on my back, I look like I have the Grand Canyon in the middle of my abdomen. Then when I lift my head up, like a partial sit up, everything sticks out. Do you think this qualifies as a hernia? I guess I just don't want to have to pay much out of pocket... Who knows? Danielle

When I talked to Priority regarding a tummy tuck they told me that you have to have three months of skin issues documented by your physcian like rashes and so forth. Plus the panny has to hang just above your pubic area or they will not cover it and it is hard to get them to authorize just a tummy tuck. With BC you have to be a year out and lost over 100 pounds and they will cover the procedure. Good Luck Tricia

I would say that you need to make sure that the pictures show panni hanging down past the pubic area, also document prescritions and treatment for rashes etc. If you do have a hernia they may do the tt at the same time as hernia call the Dr and get your rash cream .Call the Dr office theyusually know what each insurance needs , Marcia
