I have a consult scheduled!

As long as my insurance kicks in as it is supposed to (have to follow up with HR), I have a consult scheduled at Barix in Ypsi for November 3. Hopefully they will be able to get the ball rolling with BC/BS PPO so that I don't have the delays and denials I had with HAP. The rep I spoke with said it sounded like I had the needed criteria for bc/bs ppo to approve the surgery. Is that a light at the end of the tunnel? Dare I even suggest it?

Thank you, Kim...wow, your hair sure has grown out a lot. How are you feeling? Last I read you were having some problems.

Too funny... a couple days after we took this photo I went and got all my hair cut off!!!! It actually looks much better, and I just can't keep up with picking it up off of the bathroom floor even now that it's shorter!! I don't know what will happen at 4 months when they say you really start shedding hair!! Luckily mine is pretty thick. I just thought I would cut it short for now and then it will grow out and be healthier... it wasn't looking so great. I'm feeling much better now, thanks. My issues have been pretty small comparitively speaking to what others go through.. but I had a severe kidney infection last week...I went to the Dr's today and she said I still have it...still running a fever, but getting better. I have to take the antibiotics 1 more week and see if it all clears up. The funny thing is that since I've been on the antibiotics I have had the problems with "irritable bowel"..and I was SOOOOOOOOO sick 3 weeks out with an intestinal virus, I just have to wonder if the anti-biotics cleared up something going on in my intestinal track. This is the first week I haven't had "bathroom" issue.. *whew!* Now I"m going to try exercising and see what happens.. I just couldn't do too much with that problem .. so we will see. I can't wait to hear how your consult goes.. you've been going through so much to get this. Just keep thinking positive thoughts and pray pray pray. The Lord really does want us to be happy!!! That is encouraging. So, do the Barix people handle all your paperwork and submit for approval on your behalf, or does your PCP still have to do it?
