Today I called the insurance company to see if any news on my approval. Well guess what....they never recieved any paperwork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called MMPC and told them about it. They called my insurance and was told the same thing!! Now I have to wait all over again!!!!!!! I am so upset over this I could scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes, the insurance nightmare!!!! Unfortunately what's done is done (or NOT done in this case) and all you can do is make sure it's done right this time. Calm down, drink some water, try not to stress eat in the next few weeks (it'll be hard) you don't want to gain weight and then have that be a problem in getting a surgery date. Call the insurance company on a weekly basis to see where your case is at. My insurance company told me that they didn't have my paperwork for weeks, when in fact they did it just wasn't scanned into the computer!! That was frustrating. Most of us had to fight through something similar with insurance. So just know that your NOT alone and we understand the frustration of it all!!! It'll get there, and it'll get processed - we just have to be patient at a VERY impatient time!!! Hugs, laurie

Don't you sometimes want to just reach through the phone and strangle these insurance people. I waited 3 weeks for them to give a written approval to MMPC. I hadn't heard anything so I called BC/BS. Guess what they said? Oh, you don't need pre-approval if you meet the criteria. Why in the heck didn't they say this? I could have had my surgery a month earlier if they had just noted this in the email they replied to when MMPC had me ask the pre-surgery questions. Geez!

WELL HELLS BELLS!!! I MEET THE CRITERIA AND STILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THEM TO APPROVE IT!!!! I HAVE GM BC/BS PPO MAYBE THATS WHY??? BUT I AM CALLING THEM AGAIN TOMORROW!!!!

I'm waiting too! I passed my eval. and they said I would hear something in 5 days...well it's been 2 weeks and they have no idea where my results were sent..PCP, HAP or surgeon. I am getting really impatient too. I just want this done but I guess they say....good things come to those who wait. Go figure! Can't do anything but wait. Good Luck Dawn

Judy, It seems I remember you saying you have BC/BS. They told me they don't do preapprovals, which is the same thing my doctor's office told me. I'm wondering if that is part of the problem. My doctor's office verified that I meet BC/BS guidelines then scheduled me. Marie

I have gm bc/bs ppo....I have met all the criteria and jumped the hoops...Now this....Its not fair!!!!

I hear about this and can't believe it. All my paperwork was done so tidy it squeaked. My PCC at CORI (no longer there) had it sewn up in three days. I just don't get it when this happens. Do people need to hand deliver paperwork??? Positive vibes for you. kp
