Woohooo...I am on my way!

I just got home from work and opened the mail and low and behold....there it was!!! A letter saying I am approved for surgery pending psych eval. They said after careful review of medical records and my case,"HAP will aprove your request for Bariatric Surgery provided you pass a psychiatric evaluation, which is another criterion necessary for approval." I have to call and for an authorization numberAfter the eval I will know within 5 days. So now looks like the piggy bank gets pulled out and filled....for that "$1000.00" co-pay. Ouch!!! But I will do whatever I have to to get this done......to be a new me....a healthy me.

That's wonderful news Deborah. It won't be long and it is very worth the money for the co-pay. You'll save that much from groceries in a couple of months.

Congratulations Deb ...it is such an exciting journey in life. I am 1 month post op tomorrow, and am so happy I had this surgery. It is one of the best things I have done for me in my life. I wish you the best of luck on your new journey in life. hugs Cheryl
