Help--I can't make my 6 wk post op visit!!
my 6 week was very important. not only did they need to make sure i was doing okay with my surgery (no serious complications) but they did full blood work and did find deficiencies that needed to be corrected (through diet and supplements). my primary care was doing checkups at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 2 mos, etc. and my surgeon's office as well and the surgeon was definitely more thorough, and i had a primary who was a GAP herself and was watching me closely. I would definitely discuss this with your surgeon and heed his/her advice and no one elses. They are the qualified person you have put your trust in, don't bail now.
