Grrrr....

You can do this alone! I really didn't need any help at all after my TT. You're moving slow, and yes, you're sore, but you can do it on your own and get around and all. Even the kitty litter...if you change it just before you go to the hospital, you won't have to change it for at least 5 days, and even then, you can have the bag situated right by the litter box and just scoop a little more on, scoop out the pooh, etc. for a while. You can bend. Is this ideal? No. But it will work. You really aren't that bad off after this surgery. The pain meds work great to control the pain. You will be moving fine, and every day gets better and better. Just don't lift anything too heavy. I think you could lift your cat if you wanted to. Plus, your cat will jump on your lap if he wants to visit. I'm telling you, just do it....you can do it alone. I had a mother in law that was very contolling and gave me plenty of guilt trips....I stayed with her after having each of my children, so she could "help me out", because she had me scared into thinking "you can't do this alone!!!" But with my last child, I left after the first day after a big arguement and I would NEVER do that again. And I was just fine at home by myself. She had me snowed. So, I say DON'T CANCEL! DO IT YOURSELF. YOU'LL BE SURPRISED HOW STRONG YOU ARE! And you would be miserable there with her...you know that! Theresa

Sorry your mom is not playing nice with you. If I lived closer, I'd help you out. I figure when I have my plastics (which is a ways away yet), I have some friends who will help out with my kitties (I have a cat sitter who helped out when I had my WLS). I hope you can find some friends who live near you so you can tell your mother you don't need her. That would be the best thing for you. Please don't call it off. I know you really want to have your TT. I wish I could help you. Eileen

I'm checking the board one last time before I pack up the computher for my move. I'll be changing providers, too, so I may be gone a few days. So, are you gonna give me a reason to come gambling and visiting an old CA pal in your area? Not to mention play with a cat, I haven't adopted yet and I miss fur. Think about it.
