Surgery 9-1-06: Home and Happy!

I had my lap-RNY at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids on Friday. I got home yesterday, and I'm doing just great. Very happy to be home naturally. I had no particular problems with the surgery. I did have a sore throat and sore eyes after surgery, and I'm not really sure why. But it's all better now. The pain hasn't been all that bad. I do take the pain medicine, but the pain is lessening very quickly. I feel better each day, and every "24 hours" makes a big difference! I'm still pretty tired and so I nap frequently throughout the day, but I'm up and active whenever I'm awake. Things are going great, and I'm so thankful that the surgery is over. I'm not able to meet my goals for getting all the liquids and proteins in yet, but I'm working on that. I'm trying to sip water all day long. Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts!
