Hi Stacey, Really good topic! It has been ten years since my last job......Prior to this I worked for Department of Social Services in clerical.....Before DSS I worked in Lapeer for many years in resident care, till the state phased out Oakdale Center, a home for the mentally disabled. I have raised two boys, now ages 33 & 37....Expecting first grandchild in February of 2006...... Time now is spent caring for my standard poodles, & our home with my hubby. Connie

Hi Stacey, I know this is kinda late but,,,,maybe it will count. I am "justa mom" I have not done much except raise kids, first my 3 nephews who are 42,40 and 38. Then another 2 nephews for a few of thier "formative" years, lol. Finally, after getting the first 3 almost raised, after considering adoption and many many medical tests later I had a boy, then another and finally a girl. I also take care of my live in mom, shes 89 and has lived with us for 5 yrs now. Now, since my sister died Aug 22, I have one of the first 3, the 40 yr old to care for again. He is medically disabled so guess who is taking over, yep. So, I have been a wife for 37 yrs come Oct 18 and just raised kids & a parent or 2, (actually 4) lol. I love my life but sometimes I wish I had a job in the "real"world just to keep semi-sane!!

My reply is late too - - sorry! I am an executive assistant in a large medical practice. I've worked in clerical positions in the medical field my entire adult life. I once worked for 3 psychiatrists which was a lot of fun! I had my WLS at a hospital where I was employed for over 17 years and that was kind of weird - I kept wondering if i would run into anyone I knew (I didn't). My job now includes assisting the executive director with anything she happens to throw my way, coordinating her schedule, making her travel arrangements, preparing materials for her meetings, troubleshooting computer problems throughout the office, maintaining census statistics, blah, blah! I like it and I like the people I work with and our patients. This was a fun post to read! Karen

OK for real,, I am a teacher. I teach band and have been for 26 years. I also fly the blimp for Palace of Auburn Hills. I also do repos. When I have the time I am a process server (give people the papers). If needed I do Bail enforcement but rarely. I used to sell/install sprinkler systems for may jackass brother but now when people call me I sell them for his competitor and I do the repairs myself. I am a freelance musician on all woodwinds and brass plus string bass and electric bass. I teach private lessons on all wind instruments. For fun I am baseball coach for my son's team and I am an Judo instructor. Sometimes I see my wife, whatshername. I have 10 minutes on Wednesdays that need to be filled. kp

Hey Kevin, Do you fuel that blimp with your odiferous flatuence? Since I crew for hot air balloon pilots I know a few who fly both gas & propane. Maybe we could bottle all the members gas and sell to the gas boys??

I am Mom to a 17 year old (awesome, incredible, funny, handsome, talented, endearing) son. I am truly blessed by having him in my life. I am a consignment coordinator for a GM supplier. I manage GM orders for the warehouse, and do lots and lots and lots of reports and manipulating of data... I'm considering taking the Postal Exam to become a mail carrier. (Not sure why..maybe my sanity is going away with my excess weight!)... time for a change I guess...
