5 for the 5th

1.) What do you do to celebrate back to school? Today I took my ONE vacation day from work that I get per year. Teared up as I put the kids on their respective buses. Then I took a nap, watched the View, went to Panera for a salad, and played on the computer without feeling guilty! 2.) Sunday is the 5th anniversary of 9-11, does your local community have anything special they are doing? Are you? We just talk with our family about treating each other with love and respect every day. We don't focus on the terrorism issue, because it scares the kids. I remember thinking that day that it would be horrible be having a petty fight with a loved one and have them be gone that afternoon. 3.) Do you enjoy the fall colors? or do you detest all the raking of leaves? I love the colors, and have a boyfriend that rakes the leaves. An ideal situation! 4.) If you could buy yourself a "back to school" outfit, what would it be? I'd love to find some old Jordache jeans that fit me....just like my first day of 7th grade! 5.) You're home, the house is empty, the chores are all done, you have 7 hours of total "you time" what do you do??? See answer #1. Plus, I'd do my homework before the kids get home.

1. This year was very hard getting the kids back to school. First of all, the supplies were unbelievable! anyway, years before my neighbors and i would all have a big get together to celebrate. Well this year my neighbor doesn't even like me (i got smaller than her and she's jealous) . So my hubby and i just went out for breakfast. 2. Sunday is my familys annual family reunion. I'm sure it will be extra special this year. 3. I love the fall colors, taking the kids to the cider mill, and love halloween. As for the leaves, i could care less. Like you i am very allergic so hubby and kids do it. 4. I already bought it! I got some hot jeans, a hoody, and some black heels. 5. you see it. I have went out, done the shopping, housework is done. 1.) What do you do to celebrate back to school? I'm a teacher...we don't celebrate that day....LOL!! I actually look forward to going back to work...sort of...in a weird way. I love having time off, but I get restless. And if I have to work, I' m teaching. 2.) Sunday is the 5th anniversary of 9-11, does your local community have anything special they are doing? Are you? We don't do anything "special" per se. I'm not sure if the local community does anything or not. 3.) Do you enjoy the fall colors? or do you detest all the raking of leaves? I like the colors. We don't rake...leaves are a good mulch for the lawn. Besides, we don't have many trees in our lawn, but most of our property is wooded, so we don't rake. 4.) If you could buy yourself a "back to school" outfit, what would it be? I did go "back to school" shopping since I had absolutely nothing to wear, being as I've lost 130 pounds in the past year. 5.) You're home, the house is empty, the chores are all done, you have 7 hours of total "you time" what do you do??? Well, since I don't get much of this type of opportunity until summer, I usually sit by my pool and read....ahhhhh, summer! I miss it already!
