I am on 2 Flintstones and 2 Tums per day. They want you to take whatever is 'chewable'. I would consult with your surgeon however, as they may have something different they want you to take.

Are flinstone's enough for an adult who is no longer absorbing many nutrients? Damn, I didn't know they were that powerful!! (smile) the tums are for calcium I suppose???

Rachel, Jennifer is right CORI will tell you Country Line Multiple Vitamins (chewable) and Country line Calcium ( chewable). I get mine at Better Health (12 and Schoenherr) and you can get them on line. CORI is also supposed to start carrying a Cori ****tail that is liquid vitamins and calcium. Jeanne

Cori will tell you that you need an adult chewable with chelated minerals. Country life (do a google search.....I can't remember who all carries them) makes one, or I got mine from Vitamin World (their brand). As far as calcium goes I got a chewable again from Vitamin World. Hope that helps! Jennifer 355/252/150

Hi Rachel, I was taking Flintstone vitamins and Caltrate+ D. My surgeon changed them to Centrum Select and and Citracal with D. The following is part of an E-mail he sent me in reply to one I sent him. ......"In the past I have always been satisified with levels of vitamin D greater than 20 ng/ml, however recent evidence supports that optimal bone health is achieved with levels greater than 30 ng/ml. The reason for the change to citracal with D is that calcium citrate may be better absorbed after GBP than calcium carbonate. Centrum select has a more broad range of nutrients than flinstones complete and thus we have recently been recommending this to our postop patients(also there is a chewable form now available)"..... I hope this helps. God bless you, Annette
