DETROIT WALK FROM OBESITY MARATHON

Well I just signed up for walk from obesity marathon in detroit. I am so excited I have never walked a marathon before. Can someone explain to me what's it like to walk a marathon, I would truely appreciate it. Thanks in advance, lula.

Hello Lula, I am the event leader for the ASBS Walk From Obesity in Metro Detroit. This is a walk and not a marathon. Is there a marathon in the area I am unaware of for obesity or is this the walk you are referring to? Here is my last posting for the event from September 2. Hope to clear up any confusion before rumors start flying that there is a walk and a marathon on metro detroit and maybe there isn't. Thanks Tawnya Detherage I felt the need to post this again so that everyone is aware of the benefits of pre registering for this event. If you register before the day of the event you are guaranteed to get the size shirt you ordered. If you show up the day of event to register you may end up with what is left which may not be your size. Also registering early gives us an idea of how much product to ask from our sponsors. I want to make sure all registered walkers get enough in their goody bags! SO ONCE AGAIN...... The Center for Comprehensive Weight Loss at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights is teaming up with ASBS (American Society for Bariatric Surgery) Foundation to sponsor this year's Metro Detroit "Walk from Obesity" event.
