I GOT MY APPROVAL!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all geared up for a fun holiday weekend! I just had to pop on and say, "YEAH, I GOT MY APPROVAL TODAY!" My surgeon's office called me at work this afternoon and said that they got word back from my insurance company and I am approved! I am so happy! I have an appointment with the nurse on Wednesday to schedule my scope, nut appointment, and surgery! I had an appointment with my surgeon about 3 weeks ago, and he told me that he wanted me to lose 10-15 pounds prior to surgery. I was given several diet options, and decided to go with the one that they said most people pick. The nurse told me that it seems to bring the weight off pretty quickly. I have been trying very hard to stick to it, because I really want to have my surgery done ASAP, but I have been having moments where I find it very difficult to not just throw the diet to the wind and go nuts. I know that I need to just keep my goal in mind and do the best I can, but it would be nice to know that other people found it hard as well. Any comments? Anyway, aside from that I am just so happy and excited! I feel like this is my new lease on life!

Congrats Roseanna! I can't give you any advise on the diet because I am still waiting on approval. It looks like you are well on your way to the losers bench. Good Luck Shawn M.

Good for you and NO GOING NUTS. Get yourself ready for this by starting now. Set up a walking schedule and stick to it. Try different protein sources and see what you like. And start drinking water. Sorry to sound like a task master but you have to get ready for your WLS. Your success after depends on your mindset. These are not my my thoughts alone. I was told this by my surgeon and by the people on the board who went before me. kp
