I'm getting worried since I haven't seen you on the board. Are you doing OK? If anyone knows how Cheryl is doing, please let me know.

Hi Ann, I am here. OH...thank you sweety so much for wondering about me. Life has kept me so darn busy lately. I am doing good, I go back for my 2 week appt. tomorrow. I can't wait, although I don't think I have lost much. Getting food down is tough...not sure what is going on there. I have had some mashed potatoes, but they too seem to get "stuck" so I have to drink to push them down. Not sure if I am eating too fast, or taking too big of bites. Hope to find out more tomorrow. Then I finally found out that my son has Acid Reflux really bad, so we got him taken care of. Then the following day, last thursday, he ended up breaking his arm. SOOOOO needless to say...my family life has kept me so darn busy!! Thanks again Ann...you are such a sweetheart. BIG HUGS to you Cheryl

Wow, when it rains, it pours. I hope your son is doing ok. I couldn't do mashed potatoes for a while (about 3 - 4 weeks). I stayed with cream soups and a lit bit of deli turkey along with my protein drinks. Those seemed to go ok. At my 2 weeks, I didn't think I'd lost much either so I was pleasantly surprised. Take care.

YES...when it rains it pours...that is pretty much how our whole summer seems to have gone. BUT....after my son Brennen had his scope, we found out about his acid reflux. He is on prevacid, which seems be helping alot. His arm is doing good, not sure how we will ever hold out with this darn cast on for 6-8 weeks, just something we have to do. I am sooooo sick of MMPC food, that Carrie...the dietitian there, said I could try other foods. I did mashed potatoes, thinking they would be easy, but nope. I did try a lean piece of deli ham, that was OK. I guess I am just trying to find other foods, as I am so tired of the same ole thing. When I do eat, WOW oh WOW...I am soooo amazed at how fast I fill up. What a change that is, from before surgery. SO...how far post op are you, and what are you alloweed to eat now?? I am just dying for fresh fruit and veggies, not sure when I can have those. Pizza....Pickles...are my favorites....when are we alloweed to have that stuff? Maybe I am pushing things here, but am getting very anxious to start food. Keep in touch, it was so great to hear back from you.

Ann, What are you using to get in all your protein? Are you getting in your 60 grams a day? I checked into the tasteless protein at GNC...I didn't buy it, but wondered if it really is tasteless. I GAG on reg protein drinks. How about you....and ideas or suggestions?? If so, please share them with me.
