It's Official - I'm a college student now!!!
Thanks Laurie. I know what you mean about going in may directions. Originally when I started at WCC I was going to get my degree in Accounting, bu that was just not my thing. I figured that out 18 credits in. Fortunately all those credits transferred, the accounting ones as electives and the others were Social Science courses and math courses so those tranferred as well. Now that I will have my degree in Medical administration I have decided that I don't want that field either and I want to work toward a teaching degree or a degree in culinary arts. Most of my credits should transfer, hopefully so I won't have to start from scratch at least. I have a few months to figure out what I want to be when I grow up though (lol). Then it will back to the grindstone and time to word toward a career.

Yiiipppeeee!!!! Congrats and WTG!!!
I started taking online classes in May of last year. This Sunday (Sept 3) I will graduate with my Associates in Liberal Arts, Medical Administration. I had my first child 5 months after completely high school and I never thought I would get a college degree and now it has happened. After I have my WLS I will be starting up at EMU to get my B.A. I was accepted for the fall semester, but decided to wait until the winter semester in Jan. so I could get my WLS and recover. I also need a break from classes. I have only had 1 week off in the last year and a half.
Well, goood luck to you, I am sure you will do great and you will enjoy most of it. (lol).

Hey girl, good for you!!! I'm back in the saddle again as well. Online only of course, with my three kids and my daycare, being a single mom now, I have to be a cab driver to football, dance and CCD!! No way I could fit in classes somewhere!! I am going through Davenport University online. I took a couple of courses last year before Troy decided to end our marriage and it was very intense. The online classes are accelerated into 7 weeks instead of 14. I am going for Administrative Technology with a Medical Specialty. I only need 45 more credits for this degree so I'm doing it!! Medical Terminology is my first class, should do ok since I worked in medical records years ago. Good luck girl and keep praying for me as I will for you too. love ya,
Susan
It is great that you are going to school, have you tried the public universities. The tuition would be substantially less. My nephew is going to MSU but he started by taking online courses through Schoolcraft College in Livonia. I strongly suggest exhausting all of the public institutions next time. I know EMU has a big online program, I would bet most of the MI schools do. Good luck
