I have a Date.....

I had to have a ERD on Thursday @ MMPC......One hour after Judy's but didn't get to meet Judy! Maybe next time! Dr. Foote did the ERD but Dr. Kemmenter will be performing the surgery. I called MMPC to discuss a date possibilty and was told I need to come back on September 27 to meet with various people and see Dr. Kemmenter. I was then told October 27th will be my date of surgery....... Almost there! Connie

Thanks Eileen! Dr. Foote is a pretty nice guy & the nursing staff was very good..... I goofed on the date of surgery it will be the 12th of October instead of the 27th........ Connie

Great Connie, I saw Dr. Kemmenter on Tuesday and the behavioralist. They both said I would be a good candidate for the surgery. What happens next? What insurance do you have. I will shout when I get a date. Thanks Billie

Hi Billie, mine has been not to bad time wise, compared to others, some faster, some slower. I have had some other issue's, like the distance from where I live and did look into surgery closer to home with Hurley. but then dicded I wanted to go with Dr. Kemmenter & MMPC. I attended a seminar in March 2006 I think my first visit with the internist and the Behavorist was on the 11th of April. Dr. Kemmenter was the 18th of April. I have BC/BS traditional through hubby's GM insurance, my primary is medicare..... I thought about this for a bit, then called MMPC the first week of August, I required the ERD on the 24th and on the 25th they gave me the date to return September 27th from 11:30am to 4:30 pm....To see everyone again & to pay my co-pay. Will start the liquid diet, then see my pcp on the 5th who will fax some required info to Dr. Kemmenter. October 12 th he will perform the surgery...... Keep me posted on your progress. Connie

Congrats Connie! That is awesome that you got a date. That is my oldest sons birthday. He will be turning 17 and the next day he will be starting the process of joining the Army. I am so happy that he has figured out what he wants to do when he graduates in June. Good Luck to you. Shawn M.

Shawn thanks, its exciting but a little scarey at the same time, will be glad to see October arrive......... Both of my boys after graduation joined the military, the oldest did four years in the Navy & the youngest did seven years in the Army. Lance the youngest has made good use of the college fund.
