WALK FROM OBESITY METRO DETROIT AREA

The Center for Comprehensive Weight Loss at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights is teaming up with ASBS (American Society for Bariatric Surgery) Foundation to sponsor this year's Metro Detroit "Walk from Obesity" event. We invite you; surgeons, staff, patients, support groups, and family members to join us in this special walk. This nationwide non-competitive walking event will bring together participants of all ages throughout the community. Walkers raise money by asking friends, family, and co-workers to sponsor them. The walk is open to anyone who wants to participate such as weight loss surgery patients, those living with obesity, the family and friends of those affected by the disease of obesity, healthcare professionals, and other members of local communities. To participate in this event you can register on www.walkfromobesity.com. You can then go under find a walk. The registration fee is $25 per participant. Registration fee includes the official Walk from Obesity t-shirt that can be worn at the event. Participants collect pledges that are handed in the day of the walk or they can make pledges and donations under a walkers name on the secure website provided. The website also has contact information that you can share with others for details on the walk site.
