5 weeks post op

Hey everyone, I had my 5 week check up with the Dr. today! All is going well. However, I am struggling with being so tired. So, I have to increase my B12 to 3x a week. and increase my protein to 70grams. As if getting in 60 isn't hard enough. Plus, increase my calorie intake since I only get around 300 to 600 a day. I have to say thanks to my angel Judy who has totaly has given me a kick in the butt. So, I am glad to say I have gotten my fluids and protein in for 4 days in a row now. So, THANKS JUDY!!!!! Love ya girl. By the way I am down a total of 36 pounds! Yeah me! Thanks everyone for your support! Hugs, Di

WOW Di you are doing great!! Now listen to the DR!!!! You have come this far...you CAN do it!! Listen to me...LOL I haven't even gotten there yet and I am telling you how to do this....LOL You have to eat and drink to make that fat go away!! Walk...Sip, Eat...you go girlfriend!! i don't know why but i struggled with B-12 even though i was getting injections until i switched to the sublinguals. now i take one sublingual a day and my b-12 levels have been great. at your stage i was mixing a scoop of Chocolate matrix with less than 4ounces of water and found it thin, light, tasty and easy to drink and it provided me with 120 calories and 23 grams of protein so 3 a day made sure i got my protein and helped me boost my calorie intake. at 5 weeks it's really tough to get enough protein and calories, don't be hard on yourself just keep doing the best you can and know it gets easier soon.

Hey Darlin Di: I'm glad you are doing well and I know how much of a struggle it is to get it all "in"!!! I keep a daily log of how much I take in protein wise and vite wise. That way I know for sure I'm doing fine in that arena. YAY for the 36 lbs loss.......now, take 7 5 lb bags of sugar, (ok, it's 1 lb off) and hold that. THAT IS WHAT YOU HAVE LOST SO FAR!!!!!!!!!! trust me, doing that makes you really feel amazed because you can visualize the loss!!! I encourage you to do that next time you are in the store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Horray for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love ya skinny woman!!!!!!!!!!!! just love ya!!! Stacey
