WLS-Friendly PCP/BCN

Hi. I am looking for a pro WLS PCP. I have BCN and live in Warren, MI. My doctor is leaving the practice and I want to go with someone that understands WLS. Any help would be appreciated. Diane [email protected]

Speaking from one BCN to another BCN...I would start by checking the Centers of Excellence and seeing what doctors are affiliated with those hospitals. I know BCN changed their guidelines August 1st and surgery has to be done at a Center of Excellence. Stacey

I thank you both. I have had the surgery and the TT. I just want to find a doc that will understand my innards and won't belittle me because they don't agree with WLS. And won't try to prescribe meds that don't work with GAP's. I don't expect a BCN fight, and I don't want to fight with a new doctor that is not sympathetic. Something near Warren. Thanks again. He's a bit of a drive for you but I like and recomend Mathias Weitz throgh POH 248 628 2597. He has a bunch of us GAPs and KHS. Nothing worse tahn a PCP FOC. BCN can be handled - you just ahave to STYG and KTA. TAFN HAGN kp

i'm one of the people to whom Dr. Weitz was recommended and i find it well worth the drive (i'm in Mad Hts.) Dr. Weitz is not only a great doctor, he's a great guy and when I needed some very serious neck surgery he found me a top notch surgeon who took great care of me. I owe a lot to Dr. W and to Kevin for recommending him.
