I have been so weak lately, so had blood work done. My iron level is at a 2--guess they get alarmed at 50 and it should be in the 100's. It just makes me so tired...and depressed. I just got engaged to the man of my dreams (we actually were engaged two years ago and broke it off 6 weeks prior to wedding) and I still have no energy. I have the world to live for.....and am just depressed. Thanks for listening.

fortunately I haven't had any blood level problems. Dr. S says, "Its as if you never had any health issues to begin with." I liked hearing that. The deal is - I don't know why. I take a vite in the am and the pm. I get a load of protein in and drink like a fish. I do get a lot of my protein from red meat but I've never checked my iron levels just for the sake of it. I would do the spinach trick JSP talked about and try to get these chelated iron pills from gnc and get that level up. I hope you find your groove soon. kp

Thanks for your words of support. Low iron is drag. I have already had my spinach per Jennifer's suggestion, so maybe I am on my way. Thanks for always supporting all of us. Tracey

Sounds corny but cook more often in cast iron and you will get more iron in your body! I've heard that it's true....and grew up with cast iron skillets and baking dishes in our home. Also check with your PCP and see what kind of supplement would help you.....you need energy and time to plan that wedding!!! Congrats! Need any tips on weddings I was a professional wedding planner for 17 years and have coordinated and planned over 1500 weddings!!! Stacey

Thanks for your response, Stacey. I will look into the cast iron pans...makes sense. As for my PCP...he is the one who discovered the low iron and so they are trying different suppliments. I may take you up on wedding advice. Thanks for the offer. Take Care Tracey

Thank you for your response. Your suggestions really helped....and I have already had my spinach for the day. I won;t be having any kids (too old) but thanks for the suggestions about the prenatal. I am fighting the depression, and have vowed to not let it get to me. Thanks for your words of encouragement. Take Care Tracey
