Why at this age?

67 why me-don't really know the answer yet. surgery was 8-8-06..tomorrow staples come out..I said to myself the day after What have i Done to myself? Well still don't know the answer yet, but stay posted. If anyone cares to respond I would certainly respond back? Is this trial and error?

Why you? Probably because you want to enjoy many more healthy, fun, fit years ahead of you. You were probably tired of being overweight and not able to do everything you wanted to do. It does get better and like I said, I'd do it again because this was the best gift I could give myself. BTW, I'm almost 56 and I'm saying to myself why didn't I do this years ago.

Marie - what you are feeling is normal. I think that several of us have had the same thoughts at one time or another, especially immediately after this life changing surgery. It is all part of the change process, but as time goes on and we get use to the new "routine" and see all the positive health benefits, we realize that it was a good decision and a choice that we would do again. Hang in there, as time goes on, things will become smoother. Richard R.

You had Lapp Band and you have staples? That would be my big question. Lap Band is done laparoscopically and requires little more that a couple of stitches at most. kp

Lap Band yes, but five different incision site and 15 staples.

my surgery was done laparscopically and all my incisions were stapled. both times/two different surgeons. it's not at all abnormal. ea*****ision had four staples.

i'm too slippery, those things fall off me within 10 hours. no doctor can explain why. i think i'm just slick.
