57 Hours of Pain from that STONE!!
I FINALLY passed the kidney stone that landed me in the ER on Saturday night/Sunday morning. It was the most horrible pain ever and I don't want to go through it again.
My PCP yesterday said it sounded as though I passed it, even though I was still having some pain, just not as severe. But this morning on my way into work the pain started getting worse again. On my way into the building my ribs felt like they were being sucked in and inside the rib area was hot and burning. I was breaking into a cold sweat (actually was sweating and it was 68 in the office). It hurt to breath. One of the guys asked if I needed to leave (I told him I might have to go back to the ER) and then he asked if I needed a ride...he said I didn't look good at all. After about 30 minutes I started feeling better and taking sips of water. Within an hour or so I was feeling okay.
I caught the stone and will take it in to be tested. It really wasn't that small, and being somewhat oval I think it may have gotten stuck going into the bladder...where the CT scan showed it was located and must have stayed since Sunday morning!! GRRR!! Anyways, I feel super fine now - and the rib pain I had for several days is gone (which I think might have been the stone starting to dislodge from the kidney and get ready to travel to the bladder).

Oh Michelle, that is so long of a time to be in pain!!! I'm so sorry that you had to endure that, as you know, I had to endure some pain (not near like you!) also recently due to 2 kidney stones.
I kept them and they are nasty little buggers!!!!!!!!! Sharp jagged edges and all!
I am taking them into my PCP today. (Ps - I took photos of them for my files!)
I hope that you get well and feel better and that you "never have to endure this mess again!!!" I am hopeful that I have no more stones!!
God Bless you and thanks so much for your posts on my threads about the protein and my stones!
you are the best!
