Size 18/20 Special Occassion dress?

I'm hoping perhaps someone has or knows someone who has a dress that would be appropriate for a woman, about 70 yo, who needs something to wear to her step-grandson's wedding in Sept.? I don't personally have anything in that size but if you don't find something, I would suggest Once Again Bridal, it is in Clinton Township just south of I-94 on Harper Avenue. I ended up getting not one but two dresses there for my daughters recent wedding for under $80.00 for both. They not only have samples but gently used (most worn once for obvious reasons) formal wear. For those of you who might be looking for bridal gowns, they have those too, even the Vera Wang dresses were under 1000.00 and if you ever saw the real price tag on one of those things you would pass out, I could buy a new car for one of those price tags. If this information doesn't help you it might help someone else along the line. Its a great place for us to get rid of formal wear when we leave that "old size" as well. Jill

If there are any resale shops in your area, you might try checking them out. Also, you might try the Salvation Army. They usually have a selection of more 'dressier' dresses.

I have a dress suit that I'd be willing to lend. It's a black skirt and jacket - the jacket has tiny rinestones on the front - very classy ... I'm pretty sure it's a size 18. It's in the back of my closet, I'll dig it out and take a picture for you. Not sure if black is what she's looking for. I've only worn it a couple times and hope to fit back into it after my surgery. But I'm willing to loan it to her for the wedding as long as you could send it back afterward. Pam
