my sympathy to all who spent the painful hours in the ER recently with stones.......i can top it just a bit.......i was on my way home on an overseas flight....and one started its journey down my ureter..........all i did was rock in the seat and get up to pee hoping it would pass..once it hit my bladder it was better ****il later) but that first journey was a rough one--i thought i was going to chew a hole through the seat in front of me..........so drink, drink drink............

oooh Rae, that must have been a nightmare!! Did you know it was a stone? Do you get them from not enough water, i thought it was from high protein? I hope you're feeling better. Hugs Linda

if you are dehiydrated for a significant amount of time and you have other factors that predispose you to stones, it is a bad combo! i was trying to make a rock garden! grin thanks for your concern! hug rae

Thanks Rae..... I never imagined that I would be in such excruciating pain...and it came on all of a sudden. What I feel fortunate about, is that just 5 hours earlier, I had my best friend and her 2 kids with me in my truck heading home from my Mom's house. I'm glad that it didn't happen while we were there or on the road. At least I was home when it happened. Though unfortunate it happened at all, at least I was in my home, etc. Sounds like you had painful experience also...one that sounds awful. I ended up going through a gallon of water....and ended up passing 2 stones, not just one. SW
