Wednesday Surgery time...
I just got a call from the hospital with my surgery time. It is scheduled for 1:45 this wednesday, but I have to be there at 11:15. I didn't think I was nervous, but when I hung up the phone, I started crying, and feel very touchy. Is this normal nerves?? I know it will be OK as the GOOD LORD brought me to this surgery. I am just having nerves worse than I thought I would. Again...I want to Thank You all for the great support you have been to me during this wonderful weightloss journey. Any words of encouragment would be nice.
Big HUGS...

Way to go Cheryl. You'll be just fine. They'll start by taking your vitals and then you'll put the nice little gown on and then they'll put your feet in the booties that pump up and down. I thought they felt good but the lady next to me was complaining about them because they were too tight but never told the nurse about it. I took a book with me but was too keyed up to read it. Before you go into surgery, Dr. Foote will come and see you along with the anesthesiologist and maybe even the PA. All the nurses are wonderful and don't be afraid to say anything if something just isn't quite right. I'll say a prayer for you on Wednesday. BTW, once you get into a room, you can use a cell phone to call anyone you want. If someone is coming with you, they might be able to get one of the hospitality rooms. Larry stayed 2 days in there, it was great and only $15 a day.
Hi Ann, Thanks for all the info, boy do I hope that 2 1/2 hours goes fast. I think that is the worst part...sitting and waiting. I know it will be well worth it, it is just getting to that Loser side. Thanks for the prayers...I need them. Either my husband or my Angel will update on me.
See you on the losing side.
hugs, Cheryl
Good luck to you. I wasn't nervous at all ... I was just excited and ready to get on with my new life, but that's just me. Dr. Foote is the greatest and the staff at Blodgett is the best. If for some reason your bloodwork turns out to be off, they may delay your surgery a little, but don't worry about it (they did that to me, and I freaked out) ... it will be only a delay, not a postponement. They'll just push you back a little later til they get whatever values are out of whack (for me, it was potassium). Some people go home the next day, by the way (my roommate did). I was in there two days.
I'll be thinking about you.
