Howdy folks...I thought Id update you all
since I haven't been here in a while.
As you may recall, my job was outsourced the same week I got my approval from HAP so I was not able to have surgery. To add injury to insult, my new insurance was no better, BCN as it were, and it was supposed to be effective June 1, but due to some sort of mix up in the HR office, I was actually uninsured until July 5th. Anyway, Ive now been informed that the company that we were outsourced to has decided to let most, if not all, of us that they picked up go, which translates to 1) unemployment and no funds to cover cobra and the obvious result 2) no insurance coverage. It would appear that I am not yet where God intends me to be in order to get surgery. Aside from my obvious disappointment, I have been doing pretty well and actually lost 10 pounds from all the additional exercise I get related to yard work and what not around the new house.
If you are the praying sort, or just best wishing sort, I would appreciate positive prayers and thoughts that things work out and I get better employment with better insurance so that I can get back on the road to the losers bench!
Colleen
Colleen,
I am so sorry you are going through all of this. My husband has been dealing with sort of the same problems at work, but I have always had Medicare and Medicaid insurance as a second and third, so his was always kind of a bonus in a way. All things happen for a reason and hopefully you will find a better job with better benefits and will get to move forward with your WLS. Good Luck and I will keep you in my prayers.

Oh Colleen,
I will definitely pray for you. God has a plan and it is not always our way or in our time frame. But He does know what is best for us. This is not easy for us to hear and you probably get sick of hearing it. But it will work out in HIS time. I will be praying you in regards to employment first. In the meantime - enjoy your new house, the yardwork and start walking!! This is a good time to build up your relationship with God. He loves you and will hear you.
Love, Hugs and Prayers,
Darlene
