Has anyone had this before?
I am 3 years post-op...Last Sunday night I had very bad right upper quad pain. I thought it was gallbaldder but it wasn't. I went to the ER and had a Ultrasound and some blood work. The Ultrasond was normal and my white count was slightly elevated. I was also sweating and had NO fever. The pain hit me out of the blue and lasted 4 hours before I went to the ER.
The ER doctor really had no explantion. I was given oral antibotics because of my high white count. In the ER I was given IV compizine and zantac. The pain went away and I have been fine ever since.
Has anyone had this before? Could this be dumping? I have never had it and have no idea what it feels like.
Thanks...
Robin
Elevated white count is an infection of some sort, right? Yours was slighly elevated so I would think you had some small infection somewhere that could be coincidental to the pain and sweating. You could have had a small sinus or ear inection that could cause that. My pain was so intense it made my muscles contract hard in anticipation of a wave of pain so I was sweating.
Just a thought.

Sometime after my second surgery I was struck with a similar pain when ever I moved it felt like someone was stabbing me, I was sweating could not get comfortable ect. After a few hours it faded away.I talked to Dr.Kole about it at one of my check ups and he said it was my sectioned off stomach it will sometimes build up gas and cause pain int he upper quads. Not positive this was your problem but you never know and it sound similar.
