Happy re-birthday to ME!!!

i cannot believe it has been two years already. Two years ago today i woke up on a vent thinking i'm going to die, wishing i didn't do this life changing surgery. Today i am at goal and thanking God for my decision. My life has changed in ways i couldn't even imagine pre op. Thanks to all you friends for all the encouragement and guidance you've given me. Hi Kim Thanks for the happy surgiversary. I had a great day, grilled some shish-kabob and had a bunch of friends over. I really wanted to come and visit you and jeff, but have been having a hard time with a sick kid lately, hopefully that will end soon! Have you gotten your date yet? Thanks Jon, Last night my hubby and i were talking about what happened the day of surgery. He remembered me waking up in i.c.u. on a vent and went crazy crying and even slapped my surgeon who promised i wouldn't be on one. But actually it was my own fault, i should have been checked for sleep apnea prior, and i should not have been smoking. But to be honest, if i had no complications i probably wouldn't have came as far as i am now. It was a very hard road, but i stayed determined and made my goal. Now if someone can just tell me how to stop losing i'd be very happy. Hopefully someday i'll be able to meet you and the others. Hugs Linda
