Wonderful Birthday present & scope update
Tomorrow is my BDay and today I got my present from my hubby. He took me to Pennys to buy some new clothes. I got 2 new pairs of jeans. One pair was a size 12 the other a 14 (NO STRETCH). He also bought me a new dress. It was a wonderful dressy suit very form fitting size 12. I have bought some smaller but they were always cut large & were not form fitting. It was neat to have him pick them out & see what sizes he chose. On the most part he did great.
Also I had to have a scope done this afternoon. Just thought I would give a report on that since it is pretty interesting (at least I thought so). I have been having problems with burning like acid reflux and have had cronic diarehia for about 6 weeks now so Dr. S. thought I might have an ulcer. The Dr here that did the scope said everything looked perfect. He said it was the first scope of a WLS patient that looked that good to him. In 3 years my pouch has NOT relaxed or stretched at all. I still wonder how I can eat all that I can, but it was good to know that it is still as it should be. That doesn't help me know what is going on, but at least I know what isn't going on. I have a hydascan scheduled for tuesday to see if it may be my gall bladder, but the ct scan & ultra sound both came back normal on that. I am told that the hydascan measures if the gall bladder is doing what it is supposed to do, not whether it makes stones.
Sorry this has been so long, but thought that it might be of help to someone out there having similar problem. Not that I really had any answers, but here it is anyhow.

Peggy,
You are right that is what a hydascan does. I had both an ultrasound and a ct scan say mine was fine, and when I had a hydascan they found that my gallbladder we functioning at 0%. Go figure on that one. So they took it out. My symptoms were just like yours, although I have not had WLS yet. I had what I thought was horrible hearburn or indigestion and constant diarreah. Everyone is different though. Glad to hear that all your other stuff is working well and good luck with the hydascan. Hopefully they get an answer to your problem soon.
OH.. and Happy Birthday!
