Okay Cheryl.. I'll share the embarassment with you... first of all.. how in the heck do you get in that much darn protien??? Are you one of the "freaks of nature" that love protien powder????? I'm both amazed and awed! Good for you!!! I happen to have the opposite problem for the last 5 days... I have tummy cramps and the runs (for lack of a better word). I don't be seeming to have much trouble at all with my pouch, but it's my intestines that aren't behavin! I'm getting as much water as I can each day... and haven't eatin anything unusual. I've even been eating more cheese for a quick protien snack. Any ideas as to what could cause all this? Cheryl - if you and I could even things out a bit I think we'd be feelin' fine! Blessings, Kim

Are you eating a lot of milk products? Lactose Intolerance? Just a thought. Carol

Hi Kim. It's ok about the spelling. I'll answer the question about the protein in a second..... As to your overflow problem, I don't think it'd be the cheese unless you're lactose intolerant. Other than that, I'm wondering if it could be a viral thing? You say you're drinking as much as you can... how much is that? Now, for my protein..... If I eat 2 drumsticks/legs - 391cal 18g fat 1g carb 53g protein 4oz pork loin/chop - 236cal 11g fat 0g carb 32g protein 2 string cheese - 160cal 12g fat 0g carb 16g protein Advantage Shake - 170cal 9g fat 4g carb 18g protein This gave me 5g carbs total and 119 g protein Sometimes I don't have the advantage shake (although I make it like an ice mocha and love it) and have beef jerky instead. Now like you said, if we can just get in sync. Sheryl In the Zoo

Thanks Ladies. I really haven't been eating a lot of milk products...and it wasn't until the last couple days that I've tried to up the cheese to maybe help with the binding... but still not a ton. I probably get between 32 -50 oz of water a day... I've been batteling mild nausea so it's hard for me to eat/drink and even the thought of a protien shake makes me heave. The other day I wasted 3 scoops of unjury trying to mix each one differently, but one drink and it was down the drain. I finally gave up. I did have that TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE stomach virus 3 weeks out... I wonder if I"m just gonna have a sensative bowel.. I sure hope not!!! and I DON'T want to get another stomach flu. Today is a bit better, but still had to run to the bathroom a couple times. I just can't figure it out really. My diet hasn't changed much as far as I haven't eaten anything "new" or different. Hmmmmm... hopefully it will get better. Thanks for the advice! Kim

Ok, you need at least 64 ounces Kim. Personally, I HATE water. I drink talking rain water products (www. talkingrain. com). YUM!!!!!! Try flavored waters like Fruit 2 O but get your water up. Your body holds onto water slowing down your weight loss if you don't get enough. As to the Unjury, don't mix it as a drink. I put mine in yogurt, cottage cheese, SF pudding etc. The best is mixing it in yogurt - I like the Blue Bunny because it's only 5g of carbs (meijer carries it). Regarding the bathroom issue, it sounds like the last part of your virus. More water flushes the system and gets it out of the intestines sooner. Sheryl In the Zoo

Kim and Sheryl, I will tell you something that my PCP told me once. He said that fiber is one of those things that works on both problems. If you are constipated or have loose stools the solution is the same. Fiber, Fiber, Fiber. And he was right. Hope this helps.
