Thanks Di! My son just called from Germany - he has spent the summer touring throughout Europe, the Balkans and the middle east (ack!) and is finally back in familiar territory. He has spent two years of his life in Germany as an exchange student/college intern and we have visited him several times. It is our second home. Anyway, since I had not had any conversations with him beyond emails, he was FULL of questions about the surgery. Sooooo....there I went again! Oh well, gotta love the kid. Still feeling calm. Hope I hear my alarm, LOL Julie

Julie, Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. Hope you have a speedy recovery. I totally get the questions being asked. I have only told a handful of people and I get the same "why such a drastic decision?" question. They just really don't get it. I just tell them, "that is what I have to do, to make myself healthier, so I can enjoy my life with my family". Some people won't settle for that though. I wish you luck and just take the phone off the hook.... LOL... Good Luck. Shawn M.

Julie: Wishing you peace in these last few hours before your surgery; contentment with your decision. Forget about everyone else, concentrate on yourself. You are on the that matters. My mother called me the day before my surgery and asked me if I was still going through with. I told her of course I was. She said, "Well, once you make up your mind, you do it." Then why did you ask? I had told everyone I knew ... but that was my decision. Everyone does it differently. You need to focus on good thoughts about your new life, which starts tomorrow. Dr. Kemmeter is a great surgeon and will do a good job on you. Eileen
