I think both Dr's are great, but I wouldn't get teh mesh if I were you. I have heard horror stories about rejection issues. (Read the PS board) DiNick reconstructs your own abdominal wall. What is the mesh and how is it used? I know they used a mesh in the pouch area for a while out west and there were problems sometimes with rejection. The hernia repairs I've seen didn't use a mesh but I heard of instances when it is used. I think the usual repair involves making "fresh" connective surfaces and then sewing it up. I was lucky and avoided that but I did get laced up pretty tight. He said I would have a six pack when he was done. It's more like a two liter but at my age I would be happy with a 40. I haven't had much luck in finding vids of that repair though. I would like to watch one. I know, it's rather grizzly but that stuff doesn't bother me. kp

I really wanted to go to DiNick but since I can't I think Dr. S. is the next best. I think I've asked you a ton a questions already and probably will have a ton more after my appt which is on 8/16. I don't know why I'm so nervous to call Cori. I feel like I'm betraying Dr. Woods but I have to do what's best for me.
