Hi Kevin, A few days or weeks (they are running together these days) you posted your plateua buster advice which I found very helpful. However I do have one teeny question When you refer to 30 carbs per day are you speakig of grams of carbs or total carbs? Reason I am asking is I thin I heard 15gms of carbs equals 1 carb serving. At least for the diabetics so I need clarification on this. Thanks Patt

I'm not Kevin by any stretch of the imagination, however I can answer so you don't have to wait. He was talking about 30g of carbs total - not servings. Hope this helps Sheryl In the Zoo

till kevin gets his lazy butt back in here where it belongs i'll add that total grams of carbs minus grams of non-soluble fiber = grams of carbs absorbed (for our purposes as non-soluble fiber is not absorbed). if you absorb less than 30 grams of carbs per day you should be in ketosis which will speed weight loss. just make sure you're getting enough protein so that you're body is burning fat not protein. kevin told me, and then dr. schuhknecht told me the same when i finally met him, that lots of protein will help us keep losing weight as well as low carbs. Dr. S. put me back on protein supplements and i've been losing again since taking them. i use the zero carb isopure powder or matrix powders myself but there's lots of good choices.
