I went to get my psych eval done, and unfortunately chose a psychiatrist who is also a nutritionist. I say unfortunately because the whole time, he was trying to get me to work with him instead of getting WLS. Long story short, I had to go back to meet with him after taking the test to get my approval letter from him. During that time he told me how he still wanted to work with me even though I am going ahead with the surgery and he talked about how I needed vitamins etc. I told him I knew all of that and would be working with a nutritionist out of my surgeons office. He gives me this hand out of vitamins etc that he uses and he says they are the best, etc etc yada yada yada....So I am wondering if anyone has ever heard of these or uses them. I actutally have to go back to see him on Monday because I didnt have all of the money I owe him from the psych eval and he wont send the letter of approval to the surgeons office until I pay in full. I would love to hear if anyone even knows about this stuff. It is called LivingFuel, and the website is www.livingfuel.com

OMG 78 bucks for a 48 day supply? Have they lost their mind? I get chelated vitamins at the vitamin shoppe for 13 bucks and lasts two months. You don't need to spend that much money. Hugs, Linda

Hi Linda, What is the name of your vitamins and are they the only ones you take? Are they chewable or just regular? I am looking on moving on to something better than Flintstones, although my labs are pretty good...just a little low on iron, and in the low "good range" on B-12. Let me know. Thanks! Theresa

Hi Theresa WHAT?!?!! You are still doing the fred and barney thing? OMG you must feel horrible. mine are the vitamin shoppe brand multivitamins....they are called kosher mega-vites 75. I take the pill. before these i was getting b-12 shots, but don't need them anymore . I take one a day and man what a difference! I notice right away when i have forgotten it, they really boost my energy and just make me feel great. I know online the vitamin shoppe has the country life chewable pretty cheap too and kp says they're good. I hope this helps Hugs Linda

Hey Theresa: Just another less expensive thought for you. I use Centrum Chewables 2x a day, and so far all of my levels have come back stellar. I think they're about $9.00 a bottle (per month) at Wallie World. TTFN! Maria W.

Hi Jami, I don't know about these vitamins but the best thing to do would be to ask your nutritionist. I do know as a WSLer we don't absorb vitamins like everone else so we need vitamins we can absorb. I found a great vitamin designed for us by a GB doctor in Florida. I have been taking them for several months and they work great and don't cost anywhere near what this guy wants. that is nuts. The website is www.wlsvitamins.com you can check them out if you like. Hope this helps.---Toni

Hi Jami! Sounds like he's trying to make some money on you. Follow your surgeon's instructions, that's always the best. My surgeon asks us to take two Flintstone chewables a day, which has been doing okay, but now that I am almost 3 years out, I think it's time I look for something better. Best of luck to you on your journey! Theresa

Thanks everyone for the responses so far. The nutritionist just gave me a list to choose from, so I am wondering which ones are best. I guess once I have the surgery I will just have to see which ones work best for my new system
