Air Conditioning !?!?!?!?!

Last night around 5 my air went out. In the middle of me making dinner and heating up the house it figures huh?? At least it is covered by our home warranty since we just bought our house in January. They will be here at 11am but damn it is freaking hot in here. Anyone else suffering with me today? Suzanne

Work is cool, so is home. how about this: I'M SENDING YOU 2 MILLION ICE CUBES IN A PORCELAIN TUB THAT YOU CAN SIT IN UNTIL THE A/C IS WORKING AGAIN!!! AND IT WONT MELT, DRIP, OR MAKE A MESS!!! Try to stay cool -- shut the drapes, keep it dark, and avoid opening windows to let the humidity in. turn on fans and wear loose fitting clothes! Stacey

I am doing all those things.. it is still hot in here. My temp is 87 in here... oh it seems to hot, I am so used to my modern conviences. (I know I spelled that wrong) It is amazing what we take for granted everyday until we dont have it anymore. Suzanne

That suck Suzanne. Try singing some cold weather songs to yourself, like Christmas songs or something!! LOL!! Might help. Hey and when I was a kid we would wet a washcloth with cold water and sit in front of a fan. It helps some. Wendy

Hi Suzanne, Sorry to hear your air went out. Hope it is up and running soon. Days like this are unbearable. No pool either?? How about taking a cooler shower to cool down your body temp then sit in front of the fan? That works great. Don't do too much, and try to stay cool until this heat and humidity moves away...hopefully tomorrow. Hugs Cheryl

I know, I know. What do people do without air conditioning!?!#!? Hopefully by now, yours is running again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't lose power or have a brown-out. I think I'd have to pack up my animals and go to a hotel (assuming I could find one that would take me, 3 dogs and a cat!!!)

Time to go shopping!!!! The stores are always cool!

but suzanne.........think how much more miserable you would have been if this were before surgery........i am amazed at how much better i can tolerate the heat.........now i dont enjoy mind you but at least i am not reduced to a wet rag like i used to be! heres to an ice cube down your back! hug rae
