Back home.....
Well I certainly don't want to do this again! My surgery was only 2 hours rather than the anticipated 2.5 - 3 hours. I got in early and finished early so that was great, but while on the table, my surgeon discovered that my hernia was much larger than he anticipated - near grapefruit size. He also found 2 other small hernias so instead of 2 holes like he promised, I ended up with 8! I don't have any drains or staples and that makes me really happy, but I am allergic to what they used to cover me so I have a really bad rash that this heat isn't helping. Add to this a binder and my new best friend is Benadryl.
I was discharged Saturday but with some hesitation on their part because the pain meds they gave me (Dilauded) caused my blood pressure to drop really low (77/43). Man that stuff makes you loopy! I had to take Benadryl with it also because it caused me to itch so much - those two days were a blur.
Other than sore and tired, I'm feeling much better. I was dizzy and lightheaded a lot up to today but that seems to be pretty well gone now. I'm really glad I didn't have this repair done during reconstructive surgery later down the road because when they sew your muscle - it's really tender!
Thanks for all of your prayers and support - I'm going back to my ice pack.

It's ok Kathy. I just chuckled to myself thinking there's Kathy out doing too much! Zack brought me the CD - but it's never the same. Although with as much laughter as that service caused, it's a good thing I wasn't there... it would have hurt so much to laugh that hard.
I'll talk to you soon.
Love
