I am leaving for Chicago on Thursday and I stiil drink a protien shake for breakfast and sometimes as my evening snack. I will not have anywhere to keep milk cold, is there anything I can take in a can or something like that that I can just keep in the hotel room? Thanks for your help.

I mix chocolate protein with coffee. It tastes good like hot cocoa. Also the South beach diet cereal bars are 10g of protein and taste pretty good, they keep real easy. I also carry nuts like almonds when I travel or peanuts. Good luck! Wendy

Thanks Wendy. I will be taking some protien bars and nuts. But I cannot toletare food in the morning that is why I was looking for something liquid. I may have to get some low carb slim fast. Not real crazy about the taste but it does the job.

Wendy, HOw much sugar are in the cereal bars? It seems I threw a bunch of these away because the sugar content was too high.. I think they were the SB Meal Replacement bars..maybe the cereal bars are different? Thanks, Kim

They have 7 grams, but yes the meal replacement bars have alot of sugar alcohol in them. I don't have trouble with the cereal bars, but the others made me sicker than a dog! Wendy

Hi, GNC has some canned proteins (already mixed) they are available in their fridge or not, and also might want to consider the Isopure in the bottles that are pre-made (though in glass)- they have 40 gms protein. What about using CIB (carnation instant breakfast) and dry milk (nonfat) -- with cold water, and a small hand held mixer? Enjoy Chicago !!! Stacey

Hey Micelle, The individual muscle milks (protien drinks) are really awesome. They don't have to be refridgerated but if you want it cold just pour it over ice. Atkins also has a good one in a can. Have fun in Chicago and say hi to my Uncle joe will yeah....LOL j/k Talk to you later.---Toni
