Hi All, Well, we made it thru the night! And we even both got some sleep. Granted, it wasn't all in a row, but what a difference it makes! Jeff's figured out a few things and is feeling alot better today. Thank you everybody for your input! We figured out that green tea is not his friend, even though it's decaf. At least not at this point. It burned all the way down every time, and caused lingering pain. He also is letting air expell from his lungs without forcing it out. He was breathing in to force out a burp, like my son does when he wants to burp on purpose. That's not a good plan. Once he stopped doing that, he started feeling better. He thought that was a good thing, to help get the air out, but no. He's also taking his pain meds a little more frequently in smaller doses instead of peaks and valleys. So, I think he's on the mend. A shower and some protein drink should go a long way to make him feel even better, I hope. Thanks again for all the advice. The support is really nice! -Kim

Hi kim, I'm glad Jeff is feeling better today. Here's a tip (courtesy of Pam R.)~ have Jeff lift his arms up in as high as he can really streach them up there and move from side to side. This helps to get the gas that is (or at least seems to be) trapped moving. I tried this and it did help. Jeff will feel much better if he continues to walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip and fart, fart, fart Best wishes as you both continue your journeys. May God bless you Always, Annette
