Coast Guard Festival!
Yes, once again it is here! The Coast Guard Festival begins today here in Grand Haven! The long awaited onslaught of tourists have arrived! For the next 10 days i will be avoiding downtown Grand Haven as if my life depended on it. (Well, the way the tourists drive, it might LOL!)
OK just had to vent about that a little. I tried to go to the library today and almost got hit by someone out of state going the wrong way down a one way street. Apparently when you leave your own state you don't need to pay attention to basic street signs.
Oh well, it will be over soon!

HI Holly,
OK...I am one of those outside people that come over there to and enjoy your huge parade next weekend. Although that is about all we do over there, then we go and visit my brother for the day. It is actually way tooo crazy for us there also, that is one time we go over there and I am thankful I don't live there. The town is just beautiful, but the people around can be very very rude. We were there a couple of weeks ago to visit my brother, then we all walked the boardwalk and watched the Musical Fountain. I was almost shocked at how rude most of the people were down there. I kind of know what you go through, our Ionia Free Fair has been this past week, and thankfully will end tomorrow at midnight. It is amazing the different kinds of people things like that call into town. Sometimes, not for the best. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that besides that crazy CoastGuard Festival, you live in a very beautiful busy town. We always enjoy our "visits" and I will be thinking of you next weekend when we enjoy the parade.
~Hugs~

Oh my goodness, the rude people are awful!!!!! I've noticed that it seems to be people in my age range or maybe a little younger (I'm 24 so Teens and 20's). It is awful. We live out in the township, so fortunately we get to "choose" if we want to deal with it. That said, we will go down for the parade and if my oldest child wants probably the fireworks and fountain as well.
Thank you for the compliments on my town - I wish I could take credit for it! I bet you are glad that the Fair is done!!! I try to avoid that kind of stuff. It's lots of fun, but the way people get pushy in crowds really turns me off.
Enjoy the parade!

I totally just realized that Dr. Foote is your surgeron as well! Isn't he awesome!!!!! Dr. Kemmeter did my EGD, but that was a scheduling thing to get my date faster! I'm praying for you that insurance goes through with no hassle.
Also, just looked at your profile - have you found anything out about your 9 YO? Is he eating yet? I'll pray for him too.
