Has anyone has this? I was told I do and have to start a 2 week anti biotic treatment. Then go in for a scope? If you have gone through this cold you let me know what this all entails please....thanks!

I had a high h pylori level too... in my case it was high because I had stomach ulcers. So they sent me to take the test were they sedate you & stick a scope down your throat & see whats going on in there... in my case I has stomach ulcers. Getting laid off your job of 12 years & going through a divorce because you were "Misably Married" will do that 2 u. But God is good I am healed without the scares (And i'm not talking about the ulcers scares... I'm talking about lifes curve balls)... But anywhoooo, it was painless... you'll b fine & make sure you finish all your meds. Cant have the WLS with ulcers in the tummy

Hi Jami, I just started my meds for this yesterday, and after the 12th day called to schedule the EGD. It is inconvenient, but I'm sure no big deal. Although the thought of having a scope put down my throat while I'm unconscious kind of wigs me out, however I suppose it's better than being awake for it, eh?

Hi Jami, I had H-Pylori. I was put on a prev-pak for 2 weeks then given another blood test (surprized me I expected a scope). They said the prev-pak cleared it up. Best wishes. May God bless you always, Annette
