Michigans Beautiful!!
Hi Everyone,
We got into the Detroit airport this morning at 6 am. Yuck. On the plus side, we had a great flight, and as I was completely stoned on the way here, I enjoyed sleeping through most of it. I woke up, though, as the sun was rising about a half hour before we landed, and all I could see were lakes everywhere! They were beautiful! You all are very blessed to live in such a beautiful place.
So, we're here, and My husband Jeff's surgery is Thursday. Please send prayers and thoughts his way, as he is starting to get nervous. It's real, now, you know? We're here and so far the Michigan hospitality leaves nothing to be desired. Everyone has been very cool. I hope some of you come to Oregon someday so we can return the favor!
Thanks Everyone!
Kim
Glad to have you here in Michigan! I personally think Michigan is much like any other state, it has is wonderful, glorious areas and it has it's not so nice areas as well. I hope your stay is nice though and you continue to be treated well. I would love to visit Oregon someday, but who knows if that will ever happen. Good Luck to your husband and I hope all goes well.
Shawn M.
Thanks everyone for responding, we really covet your prayers and thoughts. I would like to say as a huge pat on my back that I made both entire flights without screaming or passing out. Although we did lose $24 in Las Vegas in about 5 minutes. Which did make me want to scream.
KP - I'm so glad you put your profile back online. Reading over profiles has made so much difference to Jeff and me in our decision making process. How people handle stuff, how their familys support them, and just ideas of what to expect. Yours has the added bonus of being funny, and your family sounds great...
We'll be @ POH tomorrow at 10:30, then the Dr's office at 1:30. We wandered around today and got some groceries and stuff. Jeff starts his liquid diet tomorrow, so Jello and soup are on our menu. We went to a movie and walked around a sprawling mall. Did I mention it's humid here? And did I metion it's humid? I think it's great how the road signs on the main highway are almost completely obscured by grass and reeds. It cracks me up.
Looking forward to having a loser husband. haha. I think that's pretty funny. I must need some sleep.
Kim
