Is it possible to be slightly dehydrated and not realize it? i have been so busy that I look back at this weekend and know I didnt have enough to drink or enough protein. I was tired and couldnt think clearly and achey. Today, I wake up this morning after 7 wonderful hours of sleep ( which is a 1st since thursday last week) and step on the scale to find I'm 1.5 heavier than I was 3 days ago!! Ive been drinking protein and water this am like crazy and now at 1pm I feel good again. Did I ask one or two questions?? Hmm, apparently Im still a little foggy?! Kathryn

Kathryn you're probably dehydrated. We as bariatric patients dehydrate easier than a normal person, it is soooo important to drink your water now. dry lips, dizziness, confusion are very good signs. I make sure to get at least 80 ounces a day in the summer. Load up on your water today. Keep a bottle of water with you at all times. Hugs Linda

yeah the weight gain is normal, your body is holding onto the little bit of water you have. not peeing as much is a good sign too. i can't wait to meet you at dr. Webbers picnic, Erin G will be there too, it's gonna be a great time! Hugs Linda

I cant wait to meet youand Erin also - it sounds like fun. I read your other post about losing too much. Unreal! I bet if you added a carb to your snack food you would stop the weight loss - I may not know much about losing weight yet - but I tell ya, Im a pro at putting it on.

Kathryn, not enough water will definately cause you to retain water weight. That happened to me last week and in 3 days I gained 6+ pounds! I was horrified! I'm now back to where I was before but it took several days of a LOT of water and a few OTC water pills. I also wanted to mention that I retain water weight when I've not had enough sleep - so maybe it's a combination of the two. Sheryl In the Zoo
