My birthday is coming up and my dad is giving me a birthday party. I dont want to be the only person at my party not eating a slice of birthday cake. Does anybody know any bakery that makes sugar free cakes. Or any sugar free cake or cake like recipes. Thanks for all posts Dayja

Thanks Carol, have you tried it before? Do you know if it tastes ok. I was planning to serve it to my whole family. I dont want to tip them off that it is sugar free. Sometimes people have a hard time trying new things Dayja

I have tried it, and it is good, but I do not know about the plan to not tell others. Especially, there might other folks that are also sensitvie to sugar alcohols, and you would not want someone to sneak a food on you, so be honest. I always serve my guests regular cake or dessert and make something special for me if I want dessert. Fresh fruit on a sugar free angel food cake might be a better suggestion, and then you could have both a regular angel food cake and a sugarfree one and everybody will have the choice. Happy Birthday and enjoy. Carol

Be careful when choosing a "sugar free" cake. The sugar alcohols alone could make you dump horribly!!! If you do not react to high sugar alcohols, then a teeny piece might be ok. Be sure to read the label first before you but it! Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stacey

I no longer celebrate my birthday with cake and ivce cream. I had a small party at my apartment a couple of years and ended up sick in the bed with horrible dumping. That year, I said never again and meant it. Be careful with the SF anything. Those can still make me sick. Living without a slice a cake will become no big after a while. Fitting in an wanting to be normal or live like you used to, will diminish over time. Happy birthday!
