Made a BIG whoops today!
Today is hubby's birthday and I took him out to lunch for Chinese food. I only got the meat stuff and not very much of it. Food went down really well and stayed down so I was really tickled about that. But then I asked for a diet coke while waiting for hubby to finish his food. I began sipping on my diet coke (okay maybe I wasn't exactly sipping) and then about 1/2 way through the glass, an overwhelming feeling came up my throat and I almost did not make it to the bathroom. And then the shakes began. And then the profuse sweating and I recognized I was once again in the middle of a HUGE dump! After I finished in the ladies room, I made my way back out to the table and the waitress came over to ask if I wanted a refill on my COKE! I told her I had asked for DIET and she said so sorry I gave you regular coke! So now I know not to trust little old blue haired ladies OR restaurant waitresses.
Dying to see Kevin's response to this bit of stupidity!
Well, I can drink Coke. I don't drink it very often and if I do, it's usually a few drinks over a few hours. I wish I couldn't drink it. But then again, I'm glad I don't have to go through all that dumping either. LOL!!! I'm so torn being a non-dumper. Sometimes I wish I did dump so I wasn't tempted by sweets. But on the other hand, sometimes I'm glad I can enjoy a small treat every once in a while. I don't keep any regular sugar in the house. That helps.
Sorry you've had these terrible dumping experiences at the hands of others (albeit unintentional). Hopefully, things will go better for you!

What an idiot! I can't believe someone would do that. It would be better if she would have double checked with you if she didn't remember. What a ding bat.
I hope you got through it okay and are alright now.
How much bad luck can one person have in one week.
I sure hope you don't have anymore people sneaking you sugar or accidentally giving you sugar anymore. How horrible for you to have to go through this again.

Ugh thats terrible!.. i have gotten regular pop on several occasions and was irritated at the most.. never did i think about what a problem that could pose after surgery, so yes, this IS a good thing to learn early on, to check with others because if you don't do something yourself, you can't be sure it's done right!!!
