Hi Everyone, It has been awhile since I have posted but I still try to read the other post so I can stay somewhat updated on what is going on. Well, once again I need some advice or just opinions. I am almost 8 months post op and my weight loss has come to a hault. In fact, I have gained 3 pounds. Up until now I never really platued, my weight loss slowed down a bit but I was still losing. I am sooooooooo worried about this and it is all I seem to think about. Has any of you experienced this? Is it to soon for me to stop losing? I just don't know, it amazing how much I worry about my weight and have such a fear of gaining my weight back. Any advice or opinions would be so appreciated. Oh- I do need to mention for the record that I am VERY happy with the weight that I have lost and I hope that people don't get mad at me for complaining about 3 pounds. Thanks in advance for any help!!!! Your WLS Pal, Jennifer V.

Hi jennifer Don't worry, the weight loss isn't over yet. What are you eating? Get back to the basics. Up your protein and water and get out and walk walk walk. Stay away from the junk food. when you want to snack grab a sf popsicle or sf fudgesicle. When you eat , eat the protein first, then veggies and by the time you get to the carbs you'll be almost full. You will start losing if you do this, now get back on track. Hugs Linda

HI Jennifer, I too am experiencing the same exact thing. I had surgery Dec6th and I have stopped losing. Just today I am keeping a journal of what I am consuming because I have not held myself accountable of the 6 mini meals, so I am hoping this helps. I hear of the stalls and I don't "think" I have overate,,and at this point,,I honestly can't hold but at the most 2/3 cup of anything and that has to be soft. Keep hanging in there hon,,,I try to remember that they work on our tummy, not head...and you could be retaining water because of the summer heat!!

No worries. You'll be fine ups and downs are a part of the process. Your body adapts so you adapt. Play the game and trick your body. Do something different and get your metabolism in a different gear. But stop worrying. You'll be ok. kp

I had my surgery about 10 months ago and I am experiencing the same problems, but I realize that 1 pound of fat will be much larger and 1 pound of muscle!! With the weather being the way it is, that too could account for weight gain. It seems to away within a few days, so I try not to sweat it! I agree with everything KP has said....make sure you are getting in your protein and drinking your water!
