No I don't have a date yet. I had my consult about 2 weeks ago and I have to wait on approval now. It will have to get denied by my primary then go to my second and get approval, then go to my third for approval of the balance. So I am not sure how much time that will take, hopefully not too much time. I am anxious to get a date set. I know I have to wait at least until September because I have to finish my classes, then I will have my degree and be ready to a slim college graduate and then in June a slim mom of a high school graduate. At least I will finish high school before my oldest finishes high school. Well, sorry to ramble. I am good at that. Hope you are feeling on top of the world soon. Shawn M.

Hey Debbie, I am doing pretty good today! The sip sip sip thing is still pretty hard for me. I am not getting all my protein or fluids in quiet yet but I am working on it. I too can't wait to have a wow moment. Well I got my drains out today that was a pretty good WOW cause the sucker hurt! LOL but doing great. Glad to hear you are doing so well. Hugs, Di

Hooray!! I'm so excited for you. Congrats on going over to the other side So here's a question from one who doesn't yet have a date, you were pretty knowledgeable about wls and active on this board -- was there anything in your experience that happened that you did not expect?? Blessings.

Hi Marie, Thanks so much for the congrats. First off everyones experience is different. I had a few minor glitches. I bled a little more then normal, my blood pressure dropped during recovery, my oxygen level was low so I had to stay on it the whole time I was in the hospital and my platasiam(sp) level was low so I had to have that and it HURT!! Now, my roommate had none of these problems. The one thing I am going to be honest about is it is a little more painful then I expected. Now that my drain is out though I feel GREAT!!!! I think the drain makes you hurt a little more then normal. Would I do it over again? YUP! Because I know the end result is going to be worth it. Also, I have these darn hiccups that are so damn annoying. LOL The first few days are rough but after that it is pretty good so far. (knock on wood) LOL.
