I'M APPROVED!!!!!!

I can't even believe it. I am scheduled for surgery August 28th. I'm so excited to finally be APPROVED!!! Blue Care Network were kind of hard to deal with but came through for me in the end. Dr. Zeni's office is wonderful...Paula and Angie are the best!! They just welcomed me to the Zen Zone!!

I'm so happy for you. How long did it take for bcn to approve? did you have to go in person to appeal? Hugs Linda

You know, I have wanted the surgery for so long that it felt like it was taking for ever to have it happen. But in all honesty it only took about 6 weeks. My surgeon's office sent my paperwork to BCN in the middle of June. It was denied around June 28th because I didn't have an in-network Psych Eval (even though they told me it didn't have to be in-network). I went for my new Psych Eval July 6th and the report was sent to my surgeons office on the 11th and faxed to BCN the same day as an addendum to the first set of paperwork. I didn't have to do an appeal or anything. My program director kept in contact with the BCN nursing supervisor handling my case and I really didn't expect to hear anything until today. Actually getting a call yesterday was a complete shock. Paula, the program director and Angie who also works in Dr. Zeni's office had me on speaker phone and yelled "YOU'RE APPROVED". I was crying and it was wonderful. Stacey
