Downriver group! I'm so sorry!!

Hi everyone!!! I have been so tied up in my daughter's wedding and all of the family issues that have come up, that I haven't been on the board in WEEKS!!!! Please forgive me and know that I haven't forgotten about any of you! We're suppose to meet at Big Boy's in the Southland Mall tonight at 7...please go ahead and go if you can...the more we see of each other, the better !! Larry and I won't be able to make it, due to the final phases of this hectic event...but we will definitely join you next month!!! I guess the date would be August 17th. Oh how exciting..a wedding!! I can't wait to go thru all that...seriously! This might be a silly question...but is the "downriver" group just for people that live downriver? I am in Westland and I don't know of or haven't heard of any support grops near me. I am going to a seminar at Henry Ford Wyandotte next thursday. I have just submitted my paperwork for surgery. Have to wait to see what insurance wants. If this group is for people who live downriver...do you know any in the Westland area?

Most support groups are open to anyone from anywhere, the only limit is your gas tank. The support group at St Mary Mercy in Livonia (Five Mile between Levan and Newburgh) meets the last Wednesday of the month from 7-9 in the hospital auditorium. Enter on the Five Mile side and then to your right. This is a structured event, the Bari staff plans it and it's always informative. The OH groups (in my limited experience) are loose, friendly gatherings with plenty of time to chat and eat. There is also an OH group that meets at Ruby Tuesday's, Warren and Newburgh, but I didn't write down the date for August. Annette, help!
