One Week post op
Well I have made it one week from having surgery and I am feeling great. I think that this surgery has corrected the problem big time. I am having no pain at all around my remnant stomach only where the drainage tube is and the nasuea has gone away I and still on a liquid diet but I am trooper. I found out that it was surgical error from the orginal wls surgery my small intestine was made to short and then when he tried to correct it in fall he made it a bigger mess plus I had a bowel obstruction again at the same place. I am doing the bariatric shuffle and focusing on protein and only had one small dumping episode. So I am ready to move on to the next stage in my life and boy I am happy again. Hey what can I put on my nasty scar any suggestions would be nice.

Hi Tricia
I'm glad to see you are doing so well. Thank God you found a surgeon to help you. I'm just wondering, since your new surgery, are you losing fast like at the beginning? You are a real trooper, your original surgeon put you through hell. I have seen a few ppl say mederma, but my surgeon told me cocoa butter. I hope the rest of your journey is enjoyable.

Glad to hear you are doing well. That is horrible that you have been through so much. You certainly are a trooper.
I had great success on a big abdominal scar using straight vitamin E. I bought the gelatin capsule and snip the end, squeeze out the oil and rub it in a circular motion accross the scar. You can hardly see my scar and it was about 6 inches across my bikini line for a tubal reversal. I think the key is more the motion you use when applying oil or lotion, a circular motion helps to prevent heavy scaring and breakdown existing scaring. That is what I will be using after I have my WLS and that is what I am using on my knee right now (just has surgery about 4 weeks ago). I have found the vitamin E works better than cocoa butter or any of that stuff, although I have never tried the scar treatments like mederma so I don't know how it compares to that. Good Luck.
