Well I finally saw my son, as my Bay City Support Group knows I haven't seen him since my surgery. His face was so funny, he followed me around just staring at me. He has always known me with all my chins and 100+ lbs. It was very fun. I will have lots of pictures to show you when we get together next month. He says he loves the thinner mom but it will take a little getting use to. Of course my grandbaby (17 months) knew me right away . . . they always know their granny! My daughter flys in on Thursday and then I will have both of my children together for 5 days, she will not see her brother again until after he returns from Iraq so this will both happy and sad time for us. I am just loving that I feel good enough to do all sorts of things with the two of them instead of being to tired and over weight to walk so far! If you get the chance stop in Bay City this weekend and check out the Tall Ships - they are truly a neat site. Loving life, Kristy

Kristy, that is SO cool, I can appreciate that. I see my Navy son August 12th, and I cannot wait. Semper Fi, and may God keep your son AND mine, as well as all the troops safe. Carol

Aww! I would have loved to see his face! I think I know what your son means by having to "get used to it". When my mom got her new teeth, she looked SO different, I had to get used to it! She naturally had kind of an overbite, but with her new teeth she had a perfect smile. They were beautiful, but just took some getting used to! I am so happy you are getting to visit with him. I will keep him and all the soldiers in my prayers! Theresa

I'm so happy you were able to see your son.........I know somewhat (not as a parent) the feeling of a loved one being so far from home as my good friend/close friend's wife ---was in Iraq for one year and just returned last December with the 1073rd Maintenance Co., out of Greenville, MI. Also to see the new you has to be exciting. I know how much of a memory this will make for you and I hope to see photos soon of the reunion. May God watch over him while he is serving our country and "I SALUTE HIM"........and all THOSE SERVING OUR COUNTRY." GOODSPEED AND COME HOME SOON! Love you and the USA Stacey

I am sooooo excited for you! I wish I could see the pictures. Maybe I can talk my hubby into coming with me to Bay City next month and he can go wherever while I am at the meeting. Let him know that he is our HERO and we will always be thinking of him and asking for a speedy return!!! I am sure the look on his face was a picture all in itself! Take Care!!!
